Muskie/Freedom Support Act (Muskie/FSA) Graduate Fellowship and the Russian-US Young Leadership Fellows for Public Service (YLF) Program.

The Career Forum & Job Fair is designed to promote networking among alumni and newly returned fellows, provide them with information about the Russian job market and the types of organizations and industries that hire alumni. Representatives of Russian and Western companies and organizations have been invited to participate in the afternoon job fair in order to provide information about their companies and to solicit resumes from alumni.
Since 1993, approximately 2,700 young professionals from Russia and the other countries of the former Soviet Union have obtained graduate education in the United States under the Muskie/FSA and Young Leader programs. Within Russia, 40 percent of Muskie/FSA alumni now reside in Moscow or St. Petersburg.
Each year, 30 Western and Russian companies such as AIG, Baker & McKenzie, Brunswick UBS Warburg, Ernst and Young (CIS) Limited, Deloitte & Touche CIS, Coca-Cola, Conoco International Petroleum Company, Eli Lilly, ICN Pharmaceuticals Inc., Antal International Limited, Kelly Services, KPMG International, McKinsey and Company, Mars LLC, MB, Sidanko Oil Company, the American Councils for International Education (ACTR/ACCELS), CAF/Russia, Kennan Institute, Project Harmony and other commercial and non-commercial organizations take this opportunity to meet with more than 200 qualified Russian applicants with degrees from U.S. universities. Potential applicants from the Muskie/FSA program hold graduate degrees in Business Administration, Economics, Education Administration, Environmental Management, Journalism and Mass Communications, Law, Library and Information Science, Public Administration, Public Health and Public Policy. Russian Young Leader alumni have spent one year in US graduate-level programs with concentrations in Community Affairs, Governmental Affairs, or Corporate Affairs. Last year, potential applicants traveled from as far as Vladivostok to meet with potential employers.
The morning career forum will focus on issues of re-entry, finding a job, and professional development. It will provide opportunities for alumni from across Russia to exchange information about the current job market in specific fields of specialization, and to network with the representatives of various companies and organizations.
In order to participate in the Career Forum & Job Fair, you MUST pre-register by completing the registration form no later than August 30, 2002. You must also submit your resume by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or by fax to (095) 956-0977.
Alumni must pre-register in order to participate in the event.
Additionally, to encourage participation by Muskie/FSA and YLF alumni from throughout the Russian Federation, IREX is providing limited financial assistance to cover travel costs to and from Moscow for regional alumni. To be eligible for financial assistance, you must complete the financial assistance section of the registration from. If you need financial assistance, you must return your registration from to IREX no later than August 20, 2002.
